At Wimbledon Chase Primary school, we include mindfulness and well-being in our mainstream curriculum. In addition to our taught six-week programme on the theory and practice of mindfulness, we offer an after-school club and regular practices in classrooms. Year 6 pupils run a weekly mindfulness drop-in session and most of our classes have pupil Mindfulness Ambassadors who lead mini brain breaks when asked by their teacher.

Mindfulness can be described as “paying attention in a particular way; on purpose, in the present moment, and non-judgementally”.
