School Profile

Wimbledon Chase Primary School serves the Wimbledon Chase area in the borough of Merton. It is a three form entry school and currently has 707 children on roll, with an additional 76 pupils in Nursery. Whilst the school has a very strong community, pupil mobility is higher than national at 21%, when compared to the national figure (14%).* A key factor is that a number of families move in and out of the area on work place secondments. The percentage of pupils eligible for Pupil Premium is 6% (41) which is well below the national figure (23%).* The percentage of children with special educational needs is 13% the same as nationally. Whilst the figure includes the 27 pupils in the mainstream setting with Education Healthcare Plans, this figure does not include our Additional Resource Provision (ARP) that supports 14 children on EHCPs, primarily with Speech and Language provision and complex needs. Children with English as an additional language is well above the national figure at 56% (20.9%).*

Wimbledon Chase Primary School benefits from spacious grounds and extensive outdoor spaces.
