Wimbledon Chase is a vibrant and inclusive school where our whole community creates a warm and welcoming family atmosphere. Our children learn through a wide range of exciting opportunities and experiences. We have an excellent staff team who are thoroughly committed and work hard to ensure Wimbledon Chase provides children with the best start in their learning journey. We are proud of our school but are constantly seeking ways to improve.
Our 3 key words are Opportunity, Inspiration and Celebration. The children are inspired to explore their talents and abilities; they are given many opportunities to develop these talents and as a school we celebrate and enjoy our achievements at every opportunity. Our children have positive attitudes to learning, high standards of behaviour and excellent attainment across the curriculum.
We pride ourselves on being an inclusive school and our community of pupils and families include a great variety of languages, cultures and backgrounds. We welcome children whatever their needs, not only for the children in our Additionally Resourced Provision [ARP], but also for any children with particular needs or learning difficulties. Our ARP currently has 16 pupils with speech, language and communication needs and they are an important part of our school community.
We are extremely fortunate to have a high level of parental support and interest and firmly believe that the success of the school comes from working in partnership with parents. We have a terrific Friends association that enables us to purchase additional resources such as interactive white boards, a great sound system in our hall as well as many other purchases that enhance the learning and experiences of the children.
We are very proud of our indoor and outdoor learning environments from our computing suites, music room, vibrant classrooms to our large playing fields, tennis courts, cricket strip, outdoor learning classroom and forest school area. We also offer an impressive range of extra-curricular activities including choir, brass/wind instruments, orchestra, art, computing, cooking, athletics, football, rugby, gymnastics, chess, maths and many more.
I do hope that you find this website a useful introduction to Wimbledon Chase.
